Data Kiosk _ open from 11 to 23 o’clock

Technologies #2 will take place from 11 am until 11 pm, as a hybrid online and offline Kiosk. Rosemary Grennan, Jan Gerber and Sebastian Lütgert will be present on our premises at Kottbusser Tor, with computers and hard drives. You can join them online on Zoom and other platforms, and you can make appointments throughout the day. One single person (or household) at a time is invited to spend a stricly limited amount of time in front of Vierte Welt, while RG, JG and SL copy some data (see: filesharing). Please bring a USB stick or similar. There will be 1 coffee and/or 1 beer.

At 11 PM local time – 6:30 PM and 8 PM in Berlin – they will be joined by Mriganka Madhukaillya (IN) and Shezanne Al-Baradi (QA), who will report from North Guwahati and Doha and – mostly (t.b.c.) about archives, media labs, the current situation on the internet, and some issues with the concept of time.

Technologien #2 findet zwischen 11 bis 23 Uhr als ein hybrides Online-plus-Offline Kiosk-Format statt. Rosemary Grennan, Jan Gerber and Sebastian Lütgert, sowie ihre Computer und Festplatten, werden vor Ort (Kottbusser Tor) sein, und Besucher*innen sind herzlich eingeladen, ihnen auf unserem Zoom-Kanal (und anderen Plattformen) Gesellschaft zu leisten. Jeweils eine Person kann, nach vorheriger Online-Terminvereinbarung, mit einem USB-Stick o.ä. vorbeikommen und – 100% kontaktlos, maskiert und draussen – Daten mit den Veranstalter/innen austauschen. 1 Kaffee oder 1 Bier ist dabei inbegriffen.

Um jeweils 11 Uhr abends Ortszeit – 18:30 Uhr und 20:00 Uhr in Berlin – werden sich Mriganka Madhukaillya (IN) und Shezanne Al-Baradi (QA) im Internet hinzuschalten und aus North Guwahati (Assam) bzw. Doha (Qatar) berichten – über alte und neue Archive, selbstgemachte Media Labs, die Pandemie im Internet, und ein paar Probleme mit dem Zeitbegriff. Fragen und Anregungen sind willkommen!
