The electrostatic tension on the fields of disconnect.
The object of the audiovisual performance Voltage is to create together an aesthetically interesting and at the same time provocative audio-visual-movement content challenging the ideas we carry about ourselves and our connection and disconnection with our environment. Our new collaborative piece is based on the premises of deep ecology and ecofeminism, and it is analysing, interpreting and addressing the difficulties of our current situation and proposing possibilities for awareness and embodiment of new patterns of behaviour in the hope of self-reflection and sustainable action. The work includes movement choreography performed by the dancers of the collapsetofraction collective and dancers from Prague, a quadraphonic piece Xiao by Akkamiau, working with human emotional sounds and their interpretation generated by deep neural networks – an artificial intelligence speech learning technology, and artwork and live visuals by artist Jana Francova.
